About Toni Qattan

Toni Qattan (Arabic: طوني قطان) is a Jordanian-Palestinian singer, songwriter, producer, and composer, known for his warm voice and independent artistic style. Born on August 11, 1985, in Jerusalem to a family from Beit Jala, Toni discovered his passion for music at an early age, learning the oud, guitar, and piano before moving into songwriting and production.

He launched his professional career in 2005 during the peak of the TV, radio, CD, and cassette era. His first songs, including Men Dounek and Eyouni Sehrani, were recorded and promoted through traditional media, filmed in Lebanon, and became popular across the Arab world through television and radio when online platforms were still in their infancy. As the music industry shifted toward the digital age, Toni adapted quickly, becoming one of the first Jordanian artists to produce and release his own songs and videos online. Tracks like Yalli Betiheb Elnana, Rohi w Rohek, Serti Halali, and Tal El Amar reached millions of plays and views on YouTube and streaming services, establishing him as a pioneer in online music promotion and self-production in the Arab world.

Over the years, he has performed at major festivals and concerts around the world, including Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Germany, Sweden, the UK, the USA, Malaysia, and Chile, captivating audiences with his authentic style and heartfelt lyrics. Beyond his music, Toni’s story is one of resilience. After being diagnosed with a rare liver disease, he underwent a successful liver transplant in Milan in 2014, and later an open-heart surgery in 2022. Despite these challenges, he continued to create and perform, inspiring audiences with his dedication.

Toni lives in Amman with his wife, journalist and writer Dana Abu Khader, and their two children, Gianna and George. Today, he remains one of Jordan’s most beloved artists, bridging the traditional and digital eras of Arab music with passion and originality.
